Ghostly Woman on the Tracks / Stock Photo

I walked the trail in Walker, WV (an old railroad track) to see the scenery and exercise each day. One day I was in the middle of my jog I felt a cold chill shoot down my spine. I shook it off and ran faster. Then I heard something so loud, so unexpected, and something so horrible words cannot explain.

I stopped dead in my tracks, grabbed my ears, and hit my knees. I was alone but felt a presence. I looked up to see a figure coming at me. As it drew closer, I could finally understand what she was saying and tell what it was. It was a floating woman screaming, “Help” and “Lord help me”. Then it disappeared with total silence. I rose to my feet and ran away. I have not been back since.
