I am from West Tennessee. I moved to WV last year. Anyway…where I used to live is rich in Civil War history and some Native American. We even have some mounds  and you can go along the TN river banks and find lots of arrowheads.   I lived just a few miles from a Civil War Park known as Shiloh National Military Park. It is actually a very beautiful place…and ironically peaceful. Lots of big deer and turkey…that ya can't hunt (darn it!) roam around freely. Lots of people go there to walk or ride bikes. Even see the resident bald Eagle and her babies and go fishing! I had been there tons of times and nothing ever happen. I had heard stories about if you go thru there at night, you will hear the Confederate soldiers walking and shooting and see them. I been there so many times day and night…nothing. Anyway, before I moved here, hubby (then my BF) would come to TN (465 miles away Kiss) and see me. We would frequently go to Shiloh.  On one visit, we were at the famous Bloody Pond. (BTW..it is red..but they put some dye in it now and it has carp as big as whales in it…LOL) and we were talking and taking pictures as usual. The park was empty. We were taking pics and in the woods in front of us, we heard what sounded like Soldiers marching thru the woods and the Sargent or whatever, barking out commands and the Soldiers responding to them.  I could hear them talking, but not make out words. They marched several feet in front of us and you could hear them crunching on the dry leaves. It was loud like they were really close..then got softer and softer….and then gone.  At first, I thought maybe it was one of the many Cub/Boy scout troops that comes thru there…but nope. Then maybe it was some other people walking..nope..it wasn't.  We walked around and looked…no foot prints. We then drove around the block…only one other car and they were an old couple who had just arrived to the park. There was no other people around!

I later looked at my pictures. I took several in a row and each picture has a different tint to it. Like I had used different film..one was sepia, one was blue tinted, and one was like an early color tint…and then one was perfectly fine.  I used a digital camera that I had used dozens of times. I never messed with the settings or anything in between pics.

I think it may have been a residual haunting. They seem to have not acknowledged us and seem to be like "in their own zone"…came and went in just like 10-15 seconds. That was the first experience I ever had there.  There is a website if you want to have a look…if any y'all ever go down there…the land is VERY flat and rich in civil war history…people come from all over…even Canada and have seen Alaska tags there before..LOL!
