Thank you for your interest in my story. Sorry to say, it has been quite a few years since we have seen or heard anything on our farm partaining to Bigfoot. Whatever this creature was, it has moved on to greener pastures. :-( Anyway, this happened right out of Milton. On Kilgore Creek Road.

I’m not sure what road my grandfather lived on back then, but I know it was off Rosemar Rd in north end Parkersburg. I’m glad you enjoyed it! I found it to be very interesting myself. I can also tell you that my dad and Rodney, his cousin, walked up on a devil worshiping ceremony in those same woods when he was a teenage. It scared him to death!!! I often wondered if it wasn’t all connected somehow?

What an amazing story! I would have been terrified myself. I couldn’t imagine the fear they must have felt and the shock of finding your belongings and the cellar door gone. Where exactly was this dead house?

I have lived on Bertha Hill practicly all of my life and I have never heard of any of this.. Even as a kid I have played in the woods (by the trailer court, out by the houses, and the hill above the trailer court) and I have never heard or seen anything.. Not saying this is not true but this is the first time I have heard of this..

Where was this location exactly all I understood from the reading was somewhere in cabell county I would like to further investigate and explore the location myself, so if you could please give me the exact location where you had your sighting and encounter.

I’ve lived in Ragland since 1969, and have never heard anything about this. I used to Trick or Treat all the way to Brick Row, and walked the roads back and forth, and never heard anything, or saw anything. I find it odd, that I never heard of any “Satanic worship” either. The only thing around here are drug users and makers. Maybe their the one’s seeing and hearing this junk.

i seen the same thing about 4 years ago my grand pap shot it with a 12ga and it rolled in the brush the next morning we went to see what it was and it was gone no blood or fur laying around but you could see were it rolled and we are in greene county pa and it ant the first time its been seen around here either

This happened to my oldest sister when she was a baby.My mother told us this story several times.She said she took her to a man that lived on Jennies Creek in Crum,WV,he was the 7th son of the seventh son.she said this man was chewing tobaco and when he reach and got my sister that he took his tobaco out and blew in her mouth,can’t remember now what it was that was wrong with her but she got better really quick,just that my sister wasn’t deathly sick she just had something wrong with her

I know you and your friends are telling the truth! My mother’s family lives in Delbarton. My mother grew up in a holler there and my mother and many others in her family have seen the white thing. It’s exactly as you described, and they also mentioned that it makes noises where it screams like a woman or cries like a baby. Crazy!

Interesting, if a little confusingly stated.

I have friends who used to live just outside of nearby Maidsville, in a badly haunted house that used to be an old roadhouse bar. I don’t know of any sightings, but I have had people living in that area tell me about terrible blood-curdling screams coming from the woods at night.

Bertha Hill is fairly close, though across the river, from the Bakers Ridge area–which I’ve been collecting monster stories for some time now.

Also, Rivesville is not very far away at all–only about a dozen miles or so, with woods all the way, and Rivesville is the home of the Morgan’s Ridge Monster. David Cain researched the area and found many references and sightings to a dark-haired man-like creature all along Morgan’s Ridge and Bunner’s Ridge, which run into each other. Since I already associate the name “Morgan’s Ridge Monster” with a white-furred creature, I tend to think of the Big Hairy Monster man-beast as the “Bunner’s Ridge Monster” or “Bunner’s Ridge Beast”–just to keep them separate in my head.

Very interesting. I may have to look into beastly matters in Bertha Hill in the very near future!

OK i was about 20 when i encountered the white beast for the first time i have been looking for others who have also seen this creature. My friend and I were walking around midnight in Glen Rogers WV in 2009. We were on our way home from walking around out side, there is this curve that is pitch black dark and you cannot see anything around it or in it ,well i had heard something following us the whole way down the road and just brushed it off as some kids or some creepy guy or something so i waited in the light about a half mile from this curve. I had a flash light with me after about 30 minutes of us waiting there we decided to go home. We arrived at said curve and i heard something make this goat like noise, and it kinda gave me the hebie jebies so we switched sides so she wouldn’t be next to the woods. As i turned my flashlight on i saw this tiny kitten and as it was crossing the road about 20 feet ahead it went from being this tiny kitten to this mountain lion like thing only different it was laying down almost so close to the ground that i couldn’t really tell what it was, all of a sudden i shined my light directly on it and saw it stand up and stare at me with these green eyes it had legs that bent inward like a jumping cat i really to this day cant explain what it was or how it was possible but i remember it looking straight at me and smiling kinda with these teeth bared and then Jumping over in to the trees.

The second time i saw it i was with my boyfriend, in the car, we were arguing in the same area in Glen Rogers, and all of a sudden i looked up and there it was standing in the trees next to the car staring at me and him. I started the car turned it around and drove down the road. When i hit the same curve where i saw it before this deer jumped out scared the Hell out of me, my boyfriend laughed at me but that thing scares the crap out of me every time i think about it.

I SAW THE SAME THING!!!! about a year ago me and my husband was riding our dirtbike through little indian creek,my eyes are very bad without my glasses,i was looking forward and john was looking over the hill at the mudholes,all of sudden i see this LARGE looking cat with a super long tail (ill never forget how long the tail was) run down the hill,across the path,and over the other side of the hill!! john never saw it,it took my breath,i thought it was a lion or panther,everyone i told thought i saw a bobcat but this was no bobcat and it had to be big for me to be able to see those details without glasses,asking around i did come across one more person who is from the area who said he went outside to get air one night after a card game and seen what looked like a huge cat sitting on top of the hill,he went back in to get someone to also look and when he came out it was gone! iam glad to know others are seeing this also!!
